Laird’s standard surface mount PCB shields deliver protection at the component level. They are available in both one-piece and two-piece designs and can be customized extensively. One-piece shields offer six sides of EMI protection, with the sixth side being the board itself.  These designs offer economical shielding protection where access to covered components is not necessary. 

Two-piece shields enable inspection and repair of shield components without risk of damage or incurring any tooling costs. Covers snap on and off with ease. Custom-produced shields offer six sides of protection, with the sixth side being the board itself. There are no tooling costs associated with either the single-piece or two-piece standard designs.  Standard designs are readily available for sampling and purchase.
